Pouf! Splurge vs. Steal

Open up any home decor magazine and you'll likely spot a decorative pouf in at least one photograph. It's a versatile and comfy trend in the home. Poufs have multiple functions including as extra seating and a place to put your feet up while adding texture and dimension to a room.

My twin mentioned to me that this week, she picked up a decorative pouf (Threshold for Target) from a USA Target. I knew exactly which one she was talking about as I had had my eye on them from a few months back but could not justify the $50 price tag (which is actually a bargain compared to other versions). What grabbed my attention though was that she used a coupon for buy one get one 1/2 off....and it made these poufs $32.50 each (if you buy two).

Having quickly browsed for poufs online for something similar, the price tags ranged from $80 to $250. CB2 has a similar one for $99.95.

Interior Homescapes have their own version "on sale" for $253.00 and it looks like this:

Splurge vs. Steal? You decide! I will say that the Threshold for Target version is very well made. It's very firm and holds it shape but still comfy to sit on. It comes in the natural taupe and also in a light steel gray. In this close up, you can see the texture of the woven jute that makes up the frame for the ottoman.

The coupon is good until March 30, 2013 and is linked again here. You will have to select the "Threshold" Buy 1 get one 50% off coupon for toss pillows and print it out for when you go shopping.

Edit: Until Sat. March 16 these poufs are on sale for 29.99 and combined with the coupon above,  makes two poufs for $45.00 a great deal!!  (of course we got our price adjustments!) If the store is out of stock be sure to grab your rainchecks!

Edit:  Here's a photo of the grey version from Threshold for Target:
