McArthur Glen Designer Outlet at YVR

My two sisters, mom and I paid a visit to the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet Mall today.  It's located on the right just as you approach the Vancouver International Airport off of Templeton Drive.  Easy to find,  with ample free parking,  this place could potentially be a good place to spend some time either before/after your flight or during a layover. 
 

I went shopping today with hopes of purchasing one item in mind and I was pretty thrilled to find it on promotion (for a limited time).  For any parent of a ice hockey,  ball hockey or baseball prodigy,  Under Armour carries a high performance athletic brief/jock for juniors that has a built-in pocket for a cup.  Super comfy.  Regularly priced at the outlet for $24.99/pair but I happily paid $35 for two pairs.  These are hard to find,  and factoring in the current exchange rate, it is actually much cheaper than the Under Armour in the USA.

I also popped into the Vans outlet and scored a major deal on their kids shoes.  The leather vans for boys,  classic laced were on sale for $14.95 and it is currently 'buy one get one for 50%off'  sale items,  so I picked up a gray canvas pair for $7.47. There were a ton of sale selection ($14.95 to $29.99) for any youngsters from toddlers to 4 Youth.

We all walked away buying something,  from wetsuits,  walking gear,  workout wear and family footwear,  it was a worth while visit.
 

Our only setback and criticism is that currently,  there are no restaurants or quick eats (other than coffee shop Cafe Artigiano). So, pack a snack and some water if you intend to stay a while!
 

For parents with young kids,  there is a pretty decent under cover children's play area for them to either be bribed or rewarded to check out while shopping! And commercial airplanes fly overhead every few minutes quite low,  so it's quite the sight as you walk the outdoor shop aisles.
