2016 Torre & Tagus Warehouse Sale in Progress

Torre & Tagus' Warehouse Sale started Sat Nov 26th and is in full swing. Lofty Goods stopped in (with our food bank donations - don't forget).

Though there is still a lot of inventory, along with new items added daily, we walked away empty handed but snapped a few highlights from our visit for our followers and potential visitors to this once a year sale event.

Prices are currently 1/2 of what the white stickers are labeled.

The sale continues through December and on Sat. Dec 3rd, items will be reduced to 75% off the white ticket stickers.

Outdoor Rugs

Was just out to pick up a few groceries at our local Save on Foods store (that's 64/176 for you locals!) and waltzed into the front area to spot these outdoor rugs on clearance!  They are Love by Jillian Harris reversible outdoor rugs and mats.  I picked up two of the outdoor runner style in a lovely grey and white stripe for $1.79 each!!  I put them together,  and voila, instant rug!  I think it polishes off the front porch nicely for under $4!

There were larger area rug sizes for $7.99 (deal!) but the colours weren't my cup of tea (...red & white stripes and rainbow stripes).  So I bought two of the grey/white striped instead.  Selection may vary depending upon your location, but good luck!  I hope you find a happy little deal in your neck of the woods!!

Charity Shopping Night 2016 at Willowbrook

Willowbrook is hosting a Charity Shopping Night this Tuesday evening November 15th, 2016.  It promises to be a great after-hours evening of fun and shopping, with discounts of up to 50%off at participating stores.

We have been to Willowbrook Mall's after hours shopping events in years past, and they never disappoint!  It's a great opportunity to do some holiday shopping without the crowds, and you will be privy to some exclusive sales!  The refreshments and swag also add to the fun :)

I'm looking forward to buying some shoes that I have my eye on...if it's like years past, most stores will be offering a minimum of 25% off regular prices, with some offering up to 50% off.  Please note that this event requires a ticket, $10 advance, $15 at the event night door.  More info below.

Here's another edition of Five Buck Finds. I found myself popping in quickly to my local Dollarama dollar store (locations may vary in selection). While there, I spotted some super cute non-dollar store items.

Chapters Strawberry Hill Closing

Due to rent increase, Chapters Strawberry Hill in Surrey is closing its doors January 23, 2016.

As of today, they have reduced everything in store by a minimum of 50% off. Much of our purchases were randomly ringing up at greater than 50% off so that was a nice surprise.

We took our kids there tonight so that they could stretch their gift cards from Christmas a bit farther. They were quite pleased to see titles they've had on their wishlists for 1/2 off.

Highlights from our trip include a $5 Brick Shakespeare, Americas Test Kitchen Make Ahead cookbook $13, kids Tenzi game $7, Christmas cards $1.80 a set, buffalo check placemats $3 for a 50 count, and a wooden artists hand for $2!

The twin was there too and found a great selection of kids books, cookbooks (from her faves!!) and novels!  This is her book haul.

Book selection (unlike giftware) in store is still incredible at the moment, but as word gets out, shelves will become depleted.

Go sooner than later for best selection.

Torre and Tagus Warehouse Sale 2015

I ventured out to the Torre & Tagus Warehouse Sale on the very first day of the sale!  Torre and Tagus is a supplier of home decor that is not usually open to the public, but they do this sale annually and open to the public during this time.  

Here are a few snapshots of the aisles....there's a selection of bowls, candle holders, pillows, small furniture, giftware and other home decor, all at 50-75% off wholesale prices.

Most of the items were very reasonably priced.  The current discount of 50% off applies at the till and is off of the white sticker prices.  

I did find a few things, all priced from 3.75 to 11.50...

This geo print lacquered box was $8.

These white geometric vessels were $10.  Large enough to be future home to a small terrarium perhaps?

Live edge cutting boards (two sizes avail, I bought the smaller, 8x10 size, $11.50)...hostess gift?  The larger was $14.50.

Metal geo shapes...floating as Christmas decor at the moment...$3.75-$8.75 ea.

The sale runs between now and January 8th, 2016.  New stock added daily.
